Unhappy OS 7.1 for the blackberry 9860

Please Login to Remove!

Good afternoon BB users

I was wondering is there an official updated version for the blackberry 9860 that works. I've tried several ways to install the OS but nothing really helped. I've tried leaked OS and Official OS but none with success.

I tried wiping everythin clean with BBSAK tool but it didn't see the OS i had pre installed on my PC.

I've tried versions:
7.1.0.205
7.1.0.267
7.1.0.342
7.1.0.402
none of the above worked.

My blackberry model is: Blackberry 9860 smartphone (3G, Wi-FI)
7.0 Bundle 2406(v 7.0.0.585, platform 5.0.0.734) 3G bands 1,2,5,6

I'f someone else has this problem and solved it pls let me know

Last: I bought my Blackberry in The Netherlands.

We need more information to troubleshoot your problem.

Firstly, we need to know if you have followed the directions that are listed on the stickied topics at the top of this forum.

See: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...languages.html

Please advise if you have followed those directions (including the deletion of the vendor.xml file) and we will attempt to further troubleshoot.

Are you deleting BOTH the vendor.xml files?
Are you making sure that the OS you are downloading is for your specific model number.

good morning bb fans

I've deleted the vendor.xml file
I've searched the whole computer for more xml files but got only 1 so yeah i pretty much deleted all. I've followed the mentioned way to do so and still i didn't fine the correct OS for my device.
I've downloaded official version for my device.
But i didn't download from my specific carrier.

I have an unlocked blackberry 9860
So my blackberry isn't branded with AT&T or Verizon or Orange or none of the mentioned
So i just downloaded the one:

and:
