Today SHAPE Services starts beta-testing of IM+ Talk for BlackBerry v.4.3.0.3.

We invite you to take part in BETA round of new IM+ Talk version.
We are adding the exciting feature: free voice communication within 3G/HSDPA/GPRS/EDGE.

VoIP functions of IM+ for Skype currently work in half-duplex mode.
Please press left convenient key to talk and release it to hear you interlocutor.
This setting can be changed under "Settings"/VoIP" menu.
Torch users should use right convenient key in this case.

Please note, that you may be charged for Internet traffic while using VoIP via your cell network.
Please contact you operator to clarify this.

I've been running IM+ Talk on my 9700 with OS6 ver 6.0.0.358 for a while now. There were a few issues..(cut and paste of license) but it did work.

Just loaded the beta. Can see no info about my contacts. I can see a few avitars but nothing about who the contact might be.

Pressing the menu button does nothing at all. Thus I can't get to settings and try to change from list to grid.

Seems VERY slow to connect to the server and retrieve contact info and status.

At this point, it simply doesn't function with 6.0.0.358. Will go back to the release version and wait for the next beta.

Please check security permissions on your Blackberry.

1. Open "Options" / "Third party applications" / "Device" / "Application Management" (for 6.0 OS).
2. Select IM+ Talk.
3. Select "Edit Permissions" from the menu
4. Configure the security permissions to "Allow" for all categories.
5. Save the changes

Then please launch IM+ Talk once again.
In IM+ Talk please go to "Settings" / "Connection". Press the
"Start Autoconfig" button. You will be notified that the application
should be restarted. Press "OK". Then re-open IM+ Talk and
press "Start". Autoconfigurator will find a proper connection type.

If the issue persists, please send us feedback from your device selecting
"Help"/ "Feedback" / "Send request" from the menu.

4.3.0.3 is internal number of this version. It should work on BlackBerry OS >= 4.3
It should not work on 4.2 or earlier versions of BlackBerry OS.

If you encounter issue with main menu on keyboard device with OS 6, please completely remove IM+ Talk Beta, and re-download it once more from wap site:

I'd love to do that... however, when I can't choose the Menu button to het to the HELP option, I can't really leave Feedback.

As suggested, I did delete IM+ Talk beta. I rebooted the 9700. I checked that permissions were set to ALLOW on all options. Still the problem continues.

One issue that concerns me is even when doing a full delete, some data remains in the 9700. When I start IM+ Talk after a delete & reinstall, my user ID, Password and contacts all still seem to be loading. The delete didn't seem to remove ALL of my prior settings. It seems like I need to completely remove all settings and start from scratch with a fresh installation. But I can't seem to get rid of this prior data.

Much better. I am able to see all my contacts and access the menu with that version. Will continue testing the remaining capabilities of this release.
