I'm trying to update my Blackberry 9670 from 6.0 Bundle 1609 to 6.0 Bundle 2426.

The update backs up my B.B. and then starts to download the upgrade. Part way through if stops with the error message: "An error has occured while downloading software for your device. Please verify your Internet connection or try again later, if the problem persists."

I've tried with connections in more than one place. I'm certain my Internet connection is not the problem.

Has anyone else had this problem? Did you find a solution? Is it possible to download the upgrade to my laptop and then update my device?

My suggestion is as follows:

1. back up your data on your computer
2. wipe your device completely
3. load new software
4. restore your data

Let us know if this works.

Just did it. Worked fine for me. Took about an hour end-to-end.
