It randomly happened, I've had my blackberry curve for almost a year now & when I plug in my phone, it shows it charging but the battery won't go up; it'll stay the same if its plugged in. It charges when I battery pull and put it back in and in that time it charges very little, then it doesn't charge anymore.

Is there a setting I screwed up or what can I do?

If you can borrow a battery for a test, that is the thing to do.

I think the odds are that it is the battery. But, have you dropped it, or gotten it wet? Check the pins inside the battery compartment and make sure they aren't bent or corroded. Also make sure the terminals on the battery are clean and not corroded. Make sure the battery is tight in the compartment.

If all seems well with the device and you can't borrow a battery, buy a new one. Don't buy a knockoff, and don't buy the cheapest battery you can find. Compare prices for a genuine BlackBerry battery and pay a reasonable price. You won't have to pay full retail.

Cheap RIM authentic batteries can be found with free shipping at Amazon.com/bb (that is the BB app OTA download site).

Most curve OEM RIM batteries are $10 or less on there. Make sure the seller has an excellent satifaction rating and that the Battery Number (CS-2 I think) matches yours. Joyce's Battery Plus is a good supplier.

If you want it cheap, you get it cheap. Personally, I want a real OEM battery for something I depend upon. I would go to an AT&T store and get one made for the device. If it less than a year old, you might be able to get a warranty replacement for free.
