Hi, I am unable to address book/calendar with bb desktop software

The software tells me turn wireless sync off
These are the steps given:
Turn off wireless synchronization
To synchronize your organizer data, you must turn off wireless synchronization for each type of organizer data that you want to synchronize using the BlackBerry® Desktop Software.

On your BlackBerry® device, in the Calendar application, Contacts application, Tasks application, or MemoPad, press the Menu key > Options.
If necessary, click a calendar or contact list.
Change the Wireless Synchronization field to No or clear the Wireless Synchronization check box.
Press the Menu key > Save.

However no such opions in my phone.

Please help.

Welcome to the Forums.

Why are you trying to turn off wireless sync? Are you working on a BES( corporate server)? Your question is not clear. Are you trying to load contacts and calendar entries? If so this must be done from the PC using an email application such as Outlook and Desktop Manager. You can use other email programs like Google mail to do a wireless sync. Not quite sure if this is what your asking.

I work via BIS. I need to synchronise everything with Outlook: calendar, mails, contacts. For that I use the desktop manager. Right now I cannot synchronise.

In the Organizer Configuration I have tried to setup the Calendar and Addresbook so it synchs with Outlook, but when I try to confirm it I receive and error message which says that my Calendar and Addressbook is setup to "synching wirelessly", and therefore the setup is unsuccessful.

With my Curve 8350 there is no wireless jazz. I dont know why I get this with the 9800.

All I want is to be able to synchronise my calendars and contacts with my Outlook...

Are you possibly syncing with gmail for calendar and contacts via BIS?

That was exactly it. Great. I had to unactivate the wireless synching with gmail and hotmail. Now works. Super

i am having the same issue. i use bis. i use gmail for email and contacts. i have the the wireless sync option to "on" for the calender and contacts. it has worked before. now the contacts wont work. i have tried to turn it off, on, wiped out the black berry. don't know what else to try
