Default Jiggler for BB

Please Login to Remove!

My IT department is super conservative with timeout values on both our PCs and BBs. I work from home and don't travel so I don't have the typical security issues when I leave my phone or PC unattended.

To get around the annoying problem of having to constantly log in with my password when my PC locks up, I found a great little program called Caffeine. It allows me to set a keystroke which is repeated at a set interval throughout the day and night. Now I look like I'm busy at my PC all day and never have to worry about getting locked out. There is a similar PC program call Jiggler that basically does the same thing but with less control.

Is there any such app for the BB? I've read lots of posts of people complaining about having to log in all the time. If there was a simple app that would jiggle the touch pad or enter a space now and then it would be great.

Any such tool out there?

Thanks.

No. Those settings are put in place by BES IT Policy. It's not possible to circumvent IT Policy.

Thanks for the reply. What would stop some one from developing such an app? Is it impossible to write code to reach any of the events which look like key strokes as is done in these PC apps? Trying to understand the theory a bit. I know PCs, don't have much use for these "smart" phones... a bit too Mac-like... hard to get a peek under the hood.

RIM locks down certain functions of the handheld OS and does not provide the ability for developers to alter them. The OS is essentially unhackable.

Yes, I suspect it is.

Impossible, actually. That's by design. RIM's code is locked for security.

If you value your job, you shouldn't try to work around the IT policy.
