I just unlocked my phone (BB curve 8520) and it accepted the code but it says that my signal is just SOS (can only make emrg calls). The phone was on the Fido network but I am trying to use my Telus SIM inside.

Help!!

Fido run a GSM network, which your 8520 has no problem running on.
Telus run a CDMA network with a 3G network. The 8520 doesn't have 3G, and is not CDMA and so cannot use the Telus network.

Your Telus SIM is most likely an HSPA SIM.

The 8320 is a GSM only device.

The two are not compatible.

Note the Telus has CMDA (old network) and HSPA (new network) but it does not have GSM.

its in your provider problem bro. try some provider,here in my place we called it registration failed but test call passed. and test the fullphone technically...so try to use another provider like us cellular or AT&T or watsoever...hope that info helps...
