Default ATT Bold user applications navigator etc

Please Login to Remove!

Is anyone using the ATT navigator? the CV (cellular video)? The ATT music? The ATT media net?

I need to go back to my provider and find out the charges for all this. I have unlimited BB, but I do browse on the media net...

Is there a charge browsing on the media net vs the BB browser?

Do tell and share about whether the uses of these applications are worth it and the charges as well.

I want to do the whole GPS, and not sure if I should be using the ATT, or purchasing another program???

I work for att so no need to go back to a store...

Media et or any browser that is using data is unlimited with your BB plan. CV and ATT Music are also.

yes you are 100% free and unlimited. the only thing you can do to get charges would be the ATT XM Radio, but that charges comes from XM. However if you have flycast just hide your XM icon.

Your good to go and it was my pleasure to help.

totally found that out last night...actually the ATT maps part of navigator is free, the GPS portion is not!! It prompts you to "upgrade", (which I didnt), and I called a service person this morn and was informed that there is a fee of $9.99 a month to have the GPS portion. I was also told you can have a 24 hour $2.99 fee like if you are going out of town, and just want to use the GPS for one trip!

there are also added cost for the CV video (something like 4.99 a month), and of course their tunes, mall shopping etc...

jarrod dude, you work for ATT right? what-up

I did a trial run of Navigator, and a trial run of Garmin ($99 one time charge), and stayed with Garmin. I found it easier on my old eyes, and more reliable. I'd try at least these two before clicking on the buy now button. It's easy to download a trial run and wipe them clean if you don't want them (which I've done with Navigator).

Are there any free (possibly one time charge, no monthly fees) Third Party GPS Navigator Apps out there for the BlackBerry Bold?

I would love to use the GPS option when I get mine, but if I can get it for free or just pay a one time fee...that seems better.

-Cheers-

Default ATT Nav

For what it's worth, I use the ATT Navigator and used the previous Telenav for a long time. I think it's great and I find it extremely handy when travelling.

If you don't care about spoken turn-by-turn directions, you can use the GPS and either Google Maps or BB Maps for free. Works perfectly.

If you have a BES Unlimited plan, CV is not included. It's an additional $10.

I used amAze GPS this weekend on my bold to get from Westchester, NY to PA. I figured it would be a great test since we are going through NJ. Worked like a charm. Even on the short distance turns. We even went astray from the navigation and purposely passed an exit. It recalculated and got us back on track. I fully support amAze and think it is an awesome necessity for the Bold.
