Default Front Facing Camera desired that much?

Please Login to Remove!

With more and more devices coming out with front facing camera's, I've been thinking.. Is that such a desired featured these days?? And who is the feature designed for? Kids for the "Wow look what I can do" factor, the business guy "who is too lazy to go into the office, I mean busy".

I'm really curious, as that a feature that would probably be a thorn in my side.. I mean I can do with being on call 24/7 with the phone , email, SMS any time.. but video conferencing anytime/anywhere seriously, do you have to be connected that much? And I can't expect the quality to be good, under the best conditions (and I am referring to the current environment, people around you, noise level and so forth)... If employees didn't sue about being overworked yet, just wait.

Video chat has never taken off the way the carriers thought it would when they touted it as a feature of 3G. As such, the trend in the rest of the world has been to go back to just back cameras. We're late to the party, and I'm pretty certain it won't take off here either.

Seems to me to be another way of easily sending home produced porn. So much for the moral Steve Jobs.

That is my opinion and your mileage may vary.

If video chat does take off the networks will suffer more than they do now with all the data use.
