Default TomTom on 8100

Please Login to Remove!

I'm new to using a blackberry and just discovering all the uses it has to offer. Can anyone advise whether or not I can install TomTom on my phone?

I used to have a Nokia N70, which was Symbian 60 - but cannot find anythign anywhere to suggest what a blackberry is.

I'm assuming I can't, but would be nice to know for sure.

Many thanks

Thanks for the reply, but this isn't what I mean. TomTom mobile, is software that runs on the phone, so the phone itself is the Unit. You normally have to connect to a GPS unit (via bluetooth).

I have noted there are a few apps out there like Amaze which is similar, but these all require connecting to servers etc.

TomTom, runs direct from the phone.

Your 8100 does not have gps built-in, so you will have to have a Bluetooth gps dongle. The Tom-Tom app won't work otherwise.

Unfortunately, there is no software to use TomTom on your BlackBerry. I tried to ask them when/if they are planning on supporting, but got a roundabout answer.

I use the Windows Mobile version of their software on my PocketPC, but would also love to have it for my BB.

Maybe if enough people write to TomTom asking for a BB compatible version, they'll look into developing it.

there are dozens of threads about gps applications in the GPS Mapping section of this board. Telenav leads the pack as far as functionality and features. I use it like it quite well.
