Default THIS is interesting... and really annoying.

So I have been having delivery issues with AOL email accounts. Most of the time when I get a new email it is sent to my BB within 3 or 4 seconds because the AOL mail servers use the IMAP Idle function to "push" new email instantly (the BIS server "knows" when a new email has been delivered to your mailbox instantly and sends it to the BB)

But since I have been using the Storm I have been having an issue where sometimes I will go a few hours with NO emails, then suddenly I'll get flooded with all the messages I received that weren't delivered to the Storm. But still MOST of the time everything was ok and I got near-instant message notification.

Just now I logged in to the BIS website and deleted all of my accounts, and re-created just one to test with. First thing I noticed is that now on the Storm screen the icon is different than it ever has been. It's green and blue and has the AOL logo on it. But the bad thing I noticed is that now I seem to have reverted back to POP functionality where I only get messages after the 15-20 minute polling interval; instant email notification seems to no longer work with this AOL account.

Can anyone comment on this that also has AOL or AIM addresses set up?

Dude it sounds like you are using it with Microsoft Outlook running and using that as a polling time. Are you sure you have it setup right?

Of course he has it set up right.
He's been an "Exchange/BES Architect & Engineer since the very very beginning". You think someone with that type of experience wouldn't know what they were doing?

Relax, I was joking.
The guy is clueless, and I was being sarcastic by quoting his tagline.

Really? Is that REALLY what you think? Even after reading how I was careful to point out that a lot of the time everything works fine? You STILL thought that? Wow... The thought process necessary to come to that conclusion even after reading my original post is scary!

Correct. Unless that was an attempt at sarcasm(?) In which case I would be glad to go over my technical background and titles I have held at the Fortune 500 level with you. PM me and we can chit chat about it.
