I am running Thunderbird on my laptop and have set the 'Server Settings' to 'Leave messages on server'.

On downloading a message and then going to the Talk Talk (my ISP) web page to check my e-mails there are no mails there.

I've just got a new Blackberry Curve 8520 phone and want to be able to read my e-mails with it, but can't. I can send e-mails through my Blackberry, but as they don't appear to be kept on the server I can't get them on the phone.

If that made sense can you think of something I've missed?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

It makes sense.

You can try changing the setting in Thunderbird, saving and then returning to it and setting it correct once again.

You are sending mail from the BB to various addresses but that mail is not appearing in T-Bird - is that the issue? If so, you need to log into your BIS account and edit each email account to "AUTO BCC" which will automatically send you a blind copy of the message. It will show on the BB and in T-bird/the ISP.

What version of T-bird are you running?

How long do you have it set to leave mail on the server?

What's happening is that I'm not picking up any e-mails on my Blackberry; I can pick them up Thunderbird though.

I'm running Thunderbird 3.1.7

I've set Thunderbird to leave mails on the server for 7 days.

RIM has this KB article you might review... although it does sound like you have it set correctly.

So, I might ask this, if you turn OFF, or close Thunderbird for a day, and it does not download ANY email to Thunderbird, then does your BlackBerry get the mail correctly?

In other words, let's test to see if Thunderbird is the problem here.
