What's best in my opinion may not be best in your opinion. This is subjective. They are both very similar in a lot of ways. I have them both installed on my 8330. I use OM more than Bolt, not because I think it is better per se, but more out of habit and familiarity.

Wirelessly posted (Tmo's cheapest BB customer)

Best is to download both (they're all free) and try it out for yourself.

I have both the Bolt and Opera Mini. It really depends on the website. Certain websites look and perform better on certain browsers.

When I first downloaded Bolt I hated it. It was painfully slow to navigate a web page. If you haven't downloaded the most recent beta release go try it again. Much improved. I like it now more than Opera Mini. It's much faster to load a page than Opera.

I wish you could change the default browser. Until that happens you will always get the blackberry browser whenever you click on a link that takes you to the internet.

Yes, I like the new upgraded bolt browser. Also I would like the idea of custom default browser.

IMNSHO, the best browser is the one that works best for you, and even at that, it may not be the best under all circumstances.

I like the default BB browser for general use. I used to hate Opera Mini when I was using it under Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro, but like it much more as set up on my Curve. I think its the trackball thing.

As of yet, I haven't tried any others, so I've nothing more to report. Play around with different browsers and use the one YOU like best. That matters much more than MY favorite!

HTH.

Opera Mini vote here! I use it all the time unless it defaults to tbe BB browser, which I don't like much at all. Bolt is good and would consider that my second choice of the three browsers.

BB Browser for any mobile site

Opera Mini and Bolt are both great browsers.. Opera Mini lets you download files directly to your BlackBerry and lets you sync your book marks from BB to computer.

Bolt is slowing catching up and they are still in beta.

Just got my 1st BB, but I installed Opera Mini on it last night and thought it was good.

However, I haven't played enough with either to know which is "best." I'm thinking both are good and the best one depends on what I want to do.

I do like the smooth scrolling in Opera Mini though (num keys).

I think its really hard to pick a "best" browser. I feel that each browser has its pros ans cons. A best browser would combine all the pros into one browser. That might be asking for too much haha.

Question question

ill admit i havent tried opera or bolt yet but after playing with a few settings on my bb browser and working out a few kinks it looks alot better overall and i guess for now im good with the default browser

a quick question???
is it normal after adjusting your browser settings for the phone to act up a bit?!?! after i changed a few settings on my browser config my media player volume wouldnt adjust between tracks and my youtube videos stopped playing. After a day or 2 everything returned to normal and my curve is fully operational.

Changing your browser settings shouldn't affect anything else on your phone. Glad to hear the issue worked itself out. Having a BB sometimes means getting these mysterious "glitches."

Standard BlackBerry browser works awesome 90% of the time for the sites I view. Hitting up WAP forums - it's just great!

I have, in the past, expressed some issues with the BOLT browser, however, since they're latest beta release I have to say that I am becoming more impressed with the browser and I only use BOLT to view FULL webpages.

Opera Mini is cool too. I would use this when I wanted to download large files like TV show episodes and such...

The good thing: there are options. SkyFire should be within our reach fairly soon. From everything I've read and from people I've talked to who have been enjoying it on their WinMobile devices we will be in for a BIG treat!!
