I was laughing because we've totally abandoned English to speak German (or Spanish in my case). LOL

EDIT: and Italian in kathrynhr's case.

I recieved two pms about an avatar that jsconyers sent me it had you're spelled wrong. One poster took issue with it, I ignored him because he mispelled words while trying to get on me. If you are going to get on someone about spelling at least make sure all your own words are right.

I've given up on correcting people's spelling. Between people who have become dependent on spell checkers, common use of leetspeak, texting abbreviations, and the fact that we have posters for whom English is not their first language... as long as I can figure out WTF they are trying to say, I ignore it.

Things do get funny when the mistake is another valid word, though. Go check out the first few posts in the "Terrorist Attack in South Carolina" thread, where DC advises us not to park "under tress." (Nope, I will not park under someone's hair.) And a few posts later Mr. Conyers says he hopes there are not "causalities". (Bird droppings have no tangible source, you see.)

I honestly had never noticed that mistake... LOL

I've got to read my posts more carefully when posting under the influence...
