Hey this is driving me crazy, every time I try installing BBM 5.0 I can't find the app when I'm done. I'm running 5.0.0.100 OS on my Bold,I've tried installing OTA & from DM, at least from DM it shows up under application list with the proper name, OTA just shows up as "unavailable" after install. Either way there's no icon anywhere. What am I doing wrong?

@crazwire - sorry, not at my pc so I can't help you search. However there are still a few OTA links online with various BBM5 versions available. Initial problems people had were due to loading the wrong version. You may want to use DM to remove the version you have and try searching for others that will work - I suspect it won't be any more complex than that.

Uninstall whatever version of BBM you have on your Bold, then look for an OTA link for the BBM 5 for the Tour, NOT for the Bold. This is the only version that works with 5.0.0.100. I'm running that OS with the Tour BBM 5 and it works flawlessly.

Thanks for that. I'll try it and see what happens.

Beautiful, that worked flawlessly! One more question, do I have to go thru and add contacts all over again, or can I restore contacts from a backup? I backed up my device before making any changes, then deleted BBM, then installed BBM5.0.

I'm having the same problem. What link are you using to get to the tour version? I get an invalid COD, unable to import zip. I've tried all the tour/bold links I could find.

I used the one in the thread about the 5.0.0.130 leak. The OTA dl for the Tour worked great on my Bold when I deleted the previous BBM first.
