Why unlock and use on ATT

I came form ATT had drop calls data network (3 g) is a joke nearly no connection at all

From my personal experience Verizon exceeds ATT in coverage and 3G

Your experiences may differ from others.

You probably live in an area where 3G coverage is not dominant. I know because while I was down in N.C., I was completely under Edge coverage whereas I'm usually covered by 3G (In the Tri State area).

NJBlackberry, I don't think the Bold will work for Verizon, since verizon is a CDMA carrier primarily. Or can it? I haven't visited the forums in a while and need to be brought back to speed with things.

Yes, you will need a Verizon SIMMS card from the 7750 model though.

I highly doubt this is the ONLY reason people would unlock a phone to use on their network. There could be a lot of reasons, up to and including; better coverage or wanting a touchscreen BlackBerry but already being locked into an AT&T contract, among other things. Everyone's needs are different.
