Hey guys, I'm new to the forum but I have owned a B.B. for almost a year now. I am on the Verizon network and haven't had any problems. But I am really needing an on-the-go network connection for my laptop. I know you can tether your B.B. to your laptop, and that Verizon charges for this. (which in my opinion is pretty stupid. they charge you $30/month for the unlimited data plan on your B.B. but if you want to tether they charge you $15/month on top of that.) my question is, do you get unlimited access and data when you tether? I know that's the case when you are using the B.B., but what about when you tether? here's Verizon's page on it:

It's not unlimited.
Bandwidth is capped at 5GB per month.

that just makes no sense. "you can have unlimited data on you B.B. device but we're only going to allow 5GB when you're using your PC. Verizon is starting to lose my interest.

None of the data is unlimited. Your BB data is capped at 5GB too. Verizon isn't the only company with this policy either.

so does that mean my 5GB starts over every month when my new bill comes out?

Yes, it should reset back to 0 at the beginning of your billing cycle.

o, well if does reset then i really shouldn't have a problem. i usually just surf the web and surf the forums. if i really wanted to download something i could just hit up someones wireless signal. do you think i could run a ethernet cable from my laptop to my xbox360 and play on live if my laptop was connected to my B.B. ?

dang, well i guess i'll just forget the using my B.B. as a modem. that's just not worth it really. i can just mooch off of other free Wi-Fi if I need it that bad.
