You can't install any applications to the media card.

Only ringtones, music and photos for now.

There is a third party app called the Aerize Card Loader (Aerize Card Loader 2008 - Premium BlackBerry Utility Software) which let's you STORE apps on your memory card. I have never used so I don't know anything about it, other than reports of it not yet working as advertised.

Aerize Card Loader 2008 - SD card install utility - Personal Productivity BlackBerry Software

Some reviews and certain apps won't work. But, haven't found out yet which ones they are.

OK - pay attention as this has been posted many times. Aerize allows you to copy the application to the microSD card. But it is still INSTALLED TO THE DEVICE APPLICATION MEMORY. So, application memory is still being used.

The question was "Can apps be installed on the micro card instead on on the phone?" Aerize still requires the apps to be installed on the phone.

Everyone understand?

May be wrong. But, it is my understanding that once the app is installed on card it can be uninstalled from device and only put back on card when needed. Hence, you can have many apps on the card and not tie up device memory until needed. Again, that is the way I read it. And, if correct, you can have 20 apps on the card and only use device memory for whichever one you want to put back on device and use at that time.
