So I dropped my BB Pearl in water... Yeah, sucks. Well it's made a full recovery, except for one thing. Whenever I turn the phone on, the light behind the trackball and the keyboard lights up, but no matter what when the hourglass stops turning, I can't seem to get the backlight to turn back on! typing and even covering the LED doesn't work! Am I missing some sort of setting, or maybe a hard reset's in order?

This is true, but the circumstances have changed. What I thought was the light being broken, there's something that's causing it to not turn on except when turning on. That's what I was explaining.
