Default PLEASE HELP - Unlock Question

Please Login to Remove!

I recently bought a blackberry 8310 from my friend, who bought that phone two months ago with a two year plan of ATT.
But I am a tmobile user. So im wondering if all I need to do to use that phone is to unlock it ? There is nothing I need to do with the plan right?

Thanks x10000

You will need a BlackBerry data plan on your T-Mobile account, in addition to unlocking the device.

so i need an email&internet plan for blackberry? I checked on the tmobile wesbite, therer only two such plans for bb, which are both $39.99.
but im already in a family plan which costs me like 40$ a month.
so the only way i can use that phone is to pay 80$ a month?

im totally green in handling BB...
thanks x10000

In Canada, carriers offer a Blackberry add-on of unlimited email/messenger, no data enabled. Is that not an option on US carriers? Data can be prohibitively expensive for some users, so they'll opt for this plan and skip the web-browsing.

The T-Mobile e-mail and data plan should be an additional $19.99. Call customer service for assistance.
