Outlook is probably the most popular... It's really your prefer if you use Yahoo email then you can simply sync with that.

Oops, looks like I read the post wrong.. You should install the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.. It should have come on a CD with your Curve. If you are using Outlook 2007 then you must use version 4.3 or higher. I've using version 4.6 and haven't had any problems with it so far.

Works great with outlook! Only downfall is no OTA support if on BIS... have to plug it in each time you want to sync! Google sync is ok, but not perfect by far!

And right now Google Sync only syncs contacts and calendar, Notes/Tasks are not included.... yet.

Yeah, using the Desktop Manager syncs things very nicely between Outlook and my berry.
There is this (paid) service called BBerrySync that does an OTA sync for Outlook users with a BIS plan, but I haven't tried it myself.

I can not get my Desktop Manager to Sync anything. This is getting very frustrating.
I keep getting this message
"Synchronize
The Computer must be connected to the Internet to initially configure synchronization settings. Please ensure you are able to connect to the internet and try again. "
And I have Firefox open, so its obviously connected to the internet.

I've also had this same error "Your computer must be connected to the Internet" after installing DM 4.7 for my new Storm. This is my first BB device, so also my first time installing DM on my PC. Over the coarse of the past few days, I've tried all the recommended solutions (uninstalling/reinstalling, disabling virus software, disabling my firewall, blah...blah...blah) and nothing let me make the connection to sync my Storm. Then...for other reasons, I went back and installed V Cast with Rhaopsody from the white Verizon CD (after DM 4.7 was installed and still getting the "Your computer must be connected to the Internet" error message). A few minutes later, I hooked up my phone to transfer files to the data card and I tried the sync button (just for fun) and it worked. It's continued to work for a few days now with a number of re-boots to the PC.
I'm no techy and I have no idea (or concern) if installing V Cast was what fixed this issue, but it works now. You might want to try it if you haven't already installed this piece of software.

I've read that DM will not sync email folders from Outlook, only contacts and calendar. Is this correct?

I'm new to BB (Storm is my first), so I'm no expert, but I'm using DM 4.7 and it does NOT sync email. Can't speak to future updates nor older versions, but 4.7 syncs everything except email. It does require Outlook 2002 or newer.

E-Mail has never been (and probably will never be) synced by Desktop Manager. E-Mail is forwarded (either by BIS, BES or Desktop Manager) to the BlackBerry. DM never syncs mail to the BlackBerry.
