Default Favorite Apps for NewB

Please Login to Remove!

I am new to the entire BB experience, an old Palm Treo user.
I am looking for a few apps, and hoping to get some input.

I use contacts alot and looking for a weather app of some sort.
Interested in any apps you think are useful with out slowing down the Curve too much

Thanks
Denny

3rd Party Application List - BlackBerryFAQ

Opera Mini and BBSmart (or something like it) are a must and I believe Acuuweather has an application for the BB.

For weather, not an app like you are asking for, but I think http://mobile.wunderground.com/ is great. Input your zip and then bookmark.

For Weather the top choices are:
WetherEye - gives a nice home screen icon and provides 3-5 day forecasts.
WeatherBug Direct - 1-2 or home screen icon for temp and/or forecast, plus weather alerts. (I use this one.)
WeatherUnderground - mentioned above very detailed site.
WeatherWatcher - Check the Aftermarket software forum for that once It's pretty new and I have used it yet.

Whatever other apps you want depends on your prefer, Opera Mini is a nice addition, its a browser lets you download files to a SD card if you have on,plus it has more of desktop feel to it. BeeJiveIM lets you connect to GTalk/AOL/WLM/etc IM networks at once, Viigo is a nice RSS reader. I could go on forever lol.
