I am finding the program a bit slower than normal websites and this is a module. I just rebooted my device to see if it makes a difference.

Default problem with address book sync

I've been syncing my bb contacts with Yahoo address book via the Desktop Manager until Go was available. This was a little problematic because there are a few fields that were always ignored and not synced. I decided to try the Go address book sync. I had ~ 550 contacts, with a couple new ones on the Yahoo server and a couple updated ones on the bb. Go sync duplicated 50 contacts on Yahoo and the same 50 on the bb. The newly created duplicates were missing small pieces of data, like Custom fields and extra phone numbers. I deleted one of the data-missing duplicates from Yahoo and synced again with Go on the bb. Go said it had made one change -- a contact deletion on Yahoo (which is strange as I had deleted a contact there so Go should have deleted a contact on the bb). I went to Yahoo, no additional contact had been deleted. I went to the bb address book, and saw that Go had deleted the original, good contact and left the data-missing duplicate (even though I deleted the duplicate and not the original on Yahoo). What a pain.

So far the only way I've found to reliably sync all contact data fields between Yahoo and the bb is to export from Yahoo to Outlook, then sync Outlook to the bb.

Other than that, I really like Go.

Wow, this app is fantastic. There are several useful widgets in this app. I am not going to use all of them, but regardless this app is very impressive. First of all, the map program loads EXTREMELY fast. Much faster than Bmaps and Gmaps. Calendar is also very nice. ALso is the Flickr widget. If you use Yahoo in any way, you MUST have this app! Even if you plan on using it just for the Maps, this will be useful!

I will note, to the user above who said it loaded slow, the initial time you enter in the application it is very slow, but once all the widgets load there is minimal lag time. Once they load, you can exit out of the application and then go back in, and it should be nearly instant.

Anyways, this application is a very welcome addition to my 8830. If you are on the fence about this, dont be. Its great. its very elegantly done. All applications for the blackberry should be like this!

I agree that this is a very nice addition to my BB. This is my first Blackberry so of course I am just learning what it will do. This one so far looks like it will be a huge help to me. Just have to wait for my bluetooth GPS to come in to see what it will do with the maps.

I was very excited about this app being available for the 8830; my company uses Yahoo calendar for staff scheduling purposes. Now most of our staff will have access to their schedules via Yahoo Go. This should make it quite a bit easier.

This is the first I've heard of Bluetooth GPS being supported. Where in the app do you set this up? What is the version number if you look under Options >Advanced Options > Applications?

I did not set it up in the application. I just paired the device. Went to options>advanced>GPS...set the source of my GPS to my Holux GPSlim, and turned location on.

Went into YahooGo! and it updated my location accordingly.

GPS puck support is also working for me for the most part, though it was a little flaky at first. My Yahoo! Go version is 2.0.46.

I'm using the Navibe bluetooth GPS unit. I have the Navibe selected in the bb GPS options, there was no setup in Go. When I launch Go, it pairs with my GPS successfully. When I go to the maps module in Go and select GPS Location as my starting point, it immediately disconnects from my GPS and then gives an error about not being able to find the GPS Location. I had to pick another starting point manually, then map the course, then it automatically reconnected with my GPS and started tracking my location along the route. Weird.

The tracking seems to work well and the map speed it good. Nice to be able to show/hide traffic, reroute, and show the different map views like Satellite or Hybrid.

By the way, I have not had the above problem when using the TeleNav trial.

Hmm, strange. I have not had that issue with my BT puck.

I agree, the re-route feature is very nice.

Awesome app. Do i need to manually go in to my GPS settings to allow Yahoo Go to work with my GPS? Is anyone having any problems making this work?

I wish you had the option to go back to the inbox after reading a messages instead of it going to the next message automaticlly.

its interface with GPS isn't as good. I can't get a signal in my office with the Y! but GMaps locks on almost instantly.

Mhmmm mine is not working. Everytime I try and download it it tells me Yahoo does not have plans to have a version for me....Im using a Telus BB8830.

EDIT: Problem solved I was using Opera mini beta 4 and now tried the BB browser and all is well. Hopefully this updates location faster than google.
