Default Getting a Web page in an email

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I have a Torche 9800 and it is incredibly sloooooow when I want to browse Web pages...

On another end the emails work very well and very quickly. I am wondering if there is a way to receive Web pages per email.

Does anybody know if this is possible?

Do you know a Website/an App that could do send Web pages by email?

Many thanks

First, what is your data rate (GPRS, EDGE, or 3G) and can you give an example of a web page?

GPRS is slow, EDGE is faster but not real fast, and 3G is pretty good by comparison. But large and complex pages with ads and javascript are going to take time, regardless.

Second point, I'm not sure what you are asking, but let me offer this. When you click on link or bookmark or enter and URL to open a page, open the browser menu and select save request. The page will then download to your message folder, and you will get a browser alert when the download is completed. You can then open the page from your message folder. I don't know if this will give you what you are looking for, but FYI it is a good way to download web pages when you are in a signal fringe area and the page will not download normally.

Because when you browsing, you are loading the page as you browse; emails are already downloaded and are effectively read offline, like a text message.
