Anybody else having a problem getting current calendar entries on the BB Dimension Today theme after this upgrade? I'm stumped ... new entries show, existing ones that should do not

I had this problem after the upgrade. I ended up using Desktop Manager to delete all of the appointments from my BB, I then re-synced my appointments and performed a soft reset. Now Dimension Today appointments appear as they should. Hope that helps...

Default Stereo Bluetooth

The update is supposed to add stereo bluetooth support. I'll try when mine is done.

I updated my Telus 8830 to this and noticed right away that I could easily connect to GPS again. I am driving across Alberta and 2 States tomorrow and will be able to confirm if it keeps working by Friday.

Weird things - I've updated my 7130e many times to other carrier software and have never completely lost settings before. This upgrade reset all of my ringtone settings in each profile. I was careful to remove the vendor.xml file and noticed this package didn't include all of the themes that were in the previous ne - but no biggie.

Battery pull reboots now take less than a minute to get back to the home screen.

Verizon called me today and said that as of today you dont need to pay full retail to have your phone unlocked. All you need to do is fill out a form and fax it in.

With an unlocked phone, does that just mean that you can use another carrier's SIM card when traveling internationally? Does this have any effect on domestic calls or will it still use CDMA for domestic calls?

Right, this would mean that you can use your sim of choice abroad.

However, the phone's GSM radio does not work with the US bands (850, 1900). It's only designed to work with the GSM bands used in other countries

I was just told by a rep that the patch automatically unlocked the phone, with no need for the actual code. Can someone try popping in a SIM to verify before trying a code provided by Verizon?

I'd say this is almost certainly not true.

I didn't sync my calender to outlook or anything and when i did the upgrade i lost all my calender entry. Will the restore get my calender back if it automatically did a back up on my BB during the upgrade? I'm not at my computer i did the upgrade on and didn't find out till i got to work.

The upgrade process should have prompted you with a choice to do a backup of your personal data prior to the upgrade and then the process at the end should have restored the data to the phone. If this did not happen I'd say you either unchecked that option or you didn't leave the phone plugged into the PC throughout the whole process of the upgrade.

Has anyone tested their phone to see if this update fixes the incoming phone call lock up problem? That is, if a call comes in while you are making an outgoing call (but not yet connected), the phone locks up and the only fix is a reset by removing the battery? Thanks much.
