As i was enjoying my coke zero i decided to chug it leading to a small quarter sized spill. this spill happened to land on my pocket... right over my phone. to much of my discontent the keys no longer worked the same way.
i tried blow drying it, bad idea
letting it sit, worse idea
and then i started reading and i removed the battery, then removed the trackball and turned it back on to check the keyboard. it was fine for like 6 minutes. the 1 button then pushed 1 and 2 so texting was difficult. not only that but the space actually pushed asterisk.
is there anyway to fix this? i'm willing to pay for maintenance but i dont want to jump to that conclusion just yet.

Sounds to me like it needs to be replaced. When they get wet, it is generally the beginning of the end.

With a device as old as an 8100, it will probably be cheaper to get a new one than to repair it.

but i didnt buy a contract for this phone it was a hand me down. would i still be good for a replacement or whats the deal with that.
