Default Having problems restoring my phone/new numbers

Please Login to Remove!

So, I lost all my numbers and memory from my phone malfunctioning.

Right now, I'm trying to restore everything.

But! Since losing my numbers, I've added in 25 contacts (previously, I had 207 contacts from October), just to start rebuilding. However, when I try to restore the rest of my contacts, it replaces the 25 with the 207 I used to have.

So basically, I just want them added and equaling to 232. But it isn't doing that. Anyone able to help? Thanks!

Default

When you run a restore it replaces your existing contacts with what was in the restore their is no way to "merge" them both.

Easiest thing for you to do is restore the 207 contacts and then manually enter the other 25.

You also might want to start synching your device with Outlook.

Yup, and I think DM even states that restoring the database will overwrite the one on your phone.

But it should be possible to merge both lists, but not in the way the OP would like

You could make a backup of your 25contacts, and then merge it with the backup file for the 207contacts.

I've merged different databases, but never tried merging similar databases, such as two address book backups... and I forgot what software I used for this.

So after this, you'd just restore with this new 'merged contact list' backup file.
