Default Volume of ringer and earpiece for 7290

Hi...

I get the impression that the 7290 does not have the same level of ring volume or earpiece volume as my just-closed Verizon LG VX4400. I realize the LG is polyphonic (is that the right word?), but it still seems the BB phone stuff is a little less loud. I have gone into all of the options menus that I can find, and all is set to high with the loudest ring type.

Any thoughts woul be appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott

I have the same gripe. RIM seems to have hard-wired the 7290's to low volume or super-low volume only. It's a xxxxx, ain't it. Only way around it is to ditch the 7290 as a phone, use it only for data transmission, and get yourself a star-tac or something like that for phone use, as I have. In the meantime you can wonder about how RIM can fail on such a simple issue.
