I just installed the latest upgrade for my 9750, so now I have OS6.

Not pleased so far. It only comes with one theme (which is awful). If you're at the home screen and you press the app button you don't get to an apps list..you have to click open tray. And once you have, you notice there's a new bar added, which categorizes the apps. A useless any annoying feature, IMO.

I really don't like this :(..and I really don't get who would want this. The old style of showing new messages, calander dates, etc was FAR more useful. Isn't that the point in a Blackberry? If I wanted a bunch of gizmos and crap I would have bought an iPhone (or a droid). Whole reason I bought a blackberry was for the sheer competence of the user interface. Minimal. Now that's gone.

Installed it, but it's not listed under themes

If I can't get a theme like the classic today I am reverting to 5, because this is unacceptable

Don't give up so quick, I'm sure you will be happier with OS6, at least I was. I am searching for themes now.

There's a few 9780 Themes on Crackberry, pageless and Simple. These do away with the sliding screens etc, they make it like OS 5 screens.

First of all, what device do you actually have? There is no 9750 AFAIK and the 9700 series does not work on Verizon. Perhaps it is a 9650? Please update your profile accordingly.

Second, themes are device and OS specific, meaning that you need a theme made for your exact model and OS that you are running. Just any OS 6 theme won't work, especially one for a 9800 as that is a touch screen device.

Also, you can swipe downward on the track pad at the home screen which will allow you to see all the icons. This way you don't have to "open tray" every time.
