one thing i have noticed (altho: it could be a fault with the bold)
if you have a recieve different message app notfications (bbmsger, yahoo, facebook, sms email) all in a small timeframe.
the main screen shows you have a message, and it makes the relevant noise, but the message isnt there.
so far, i've lost 1 facebook message, and 1 bbmsger message :(

After reading this, has anyone upgraded the OS successfully on a Rogers Bold device?

Worked fine on a Rogers Bold
I tried it even though it was JUST one build number bigger than the one which came with my handset. Worked fine. Takes a while but I was able to use the options on the Desktop Manager to delete some fonts/input methods, etc. before the upgrade.

I just picked up the bold yesterday and figured since I wasn't using it, why the heck not load it up. It works fine on my Rogers bold

If you use the link at the top to the East Asian Hutchison firmware upgrade, it seems to work fine on Orange UK bolds (just follow the instructions). Sorted out a few instabilities for me.

Can anyone see a difference between the Rogers build and this new release? Is it worth upgrading?

I've updated, do I need to do anything for my email to work again or anything? The mailboxes are their, but I just want to check that I don't need to do anything to make them work after the update?

Mail your mailboxes and see what happens
FWIW mine reactivated automatically against my BES once I did the upgrade.

Ok, I'm done. Noticable improvments....brickbreaker works, a few changes of icons and everything seems to run a bit smoother.
Will update in a few days!

Just echoing the fine recommendation, with the additional observation about battery life, something which was appalling
at best beforehand.
