Default How do I clean up log files?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, I am running out of diskspace on the drive my log files are being written to. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get these cleaned up? I have tried searching and have came up with nothing.

Regards,
Beenie

You can just delete the folders dates to delete the log files. I think RIM would like you to leave about a months worth in case you have an issue, and they want to review the logs to see if they can found out when it happen.

A good rule of thumb would be to keep the same about of BES logs as within your application log.

I looked through all the existing registry keys, and I can't find one that says how many days to keep. It sure would be clunky to do it manually or with your own script/backup tool. Don't they have a setting that will automatically remove those old folders after a given time!?

You can set the log files to automatically delete using the Blackberry Server configuration tool. The RIM Support guy that I talked to said to keep at least 2 weeks worth.

From what I heard and experience it does not work. You have to manually delete the log files from the Rim folder. Just need to keep and I on the size of folder.
