I have a Sony xperia U it is fully updated but when I try and download bbm in the playstore it says it's incompatible with my device is this something blackberrys going to fix?

But seriously on the playstore it says android 4.0 and up my xperia u is 4.0, so maybe its just not available for my phone from a glitch in the file

Android? So like the Nexus, sideload. Why should BlackBerry fix what isn't broken. .apk is available everywhere.

Go directly to BBM.com and download it from there. That will ensure you get the correct version.
