Default How to block internet on BES Express/BIS-data plan

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

we moved from BES to BES Express 5.0.2 because the latest BlackBerrys has a BIS data plan instead a BES data plan. A big problem that we have at the moment is that we didn't found any solution to block internet access/browser on the BlackBerry's 9700. Unfortunately the policy "block browser" does not work an all users are now able to surf in the internet. Has someone similar problem or an idea what can we do?

best regards,

Sarge

Switch back to full BES and upgrade to a BES data plan on all of the phones that are using a BIS data plan.

BES Express won't give you the control that you are requiring.

but then I don't understand wy does exist the option to disable the browser and it doesn't work. Maybee the next service pack or MR resolve this behavior.

I believe that policy setting only disables the MDS Browser on the handheld.
It doesn't disable the IBS browser, hotspot browser or any third party browsers.
