If I were artting man I would say AT&T. I have no proof or anything, but they do seem to get newer BlackBerrys faster than T-Mobile.

The only time I remember them getting a new device first was the original Pearl. Or did AT&T get that first too?

TMO would really disappointment me if they dont get this phone first, because your right, AT&T seems like they always get the new BB's first. COme on TMO, for once get it togeather....I'm tired of buying the phones full price and unlocking them over and over again. All I do is loose money all the time on these phones. Wow I need help!

its all about the money. ATT has alot more of it to throw around,a nd with Tmo rolling out 3g all at once, they are going to have some issues. Keep in mind that ATT is one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world.

Hoping for T-mobile but its unlikely with AT&T having deep pockets like Sith stated probably will see this first.

Deutche Telecom doesnt spend the money in the US that ATT does. They might get it first overseas but wont get it here first.

that is true however currently the US market is the only part of their company that is growing so they might start spending.

I believe ATT will get it first

they have te largest BB customer Base period in the USA

Wirelessly posted (7100t: BlackBerry8300/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

If the 9K is to be the sensation the rumors make it up to be, this release would be revolutionary. I just can't imagine sucha device releasing on such a youth market bit player like TMO.

Don't get me wrong, TMO is my favorite carrier.

Maybe, just maybe if RIM goes whole hog after the consumer market (which is largely youth driven) it could go TMO but I doubt it.

I am happy withmy 8800 and 8100.

Rather than be first kid wth new toy I will probably wait a few months after its release before getting one, give it time for the bugs to be worked out.

The answer is Yes and No.

Yes, AT & T is a largest wireless company only in America but not in the world.

T-Mobile is a 6th world largest mobile company with 120 million customers.

AT & T ranks number 10 for the largest mobile company in the world with 70 million subscribers.

T-Mobile in other countries does have 3G coverage (UMTS & HSDPA).

He said at&t is the largest telecom company in the world...

Also, the 3g coverage that TMo has internationally is on a completely different frequency than what is planned here in the US so that wouldnt be a factor in the decision to adopt the 9000 first.

My vote is for at$t (the dollar sign is intentional)

My hope however is for T-Mobile

ugh, and please dont link to wikipedia as a primary source of information.

i said ATT is ONE of the largest in the world. i never said it was THE largest in the world. I also said that it is a possibility over seas for Tmo, but not in the US. They do not have 3G in this country, it would be pointless for them to have a 3G phone. As everyone recalls this isnt the first time they have talked about 3G or given a date. I hope they launch it this summer, it will greatly help their services and their customers, but until it actually launches its still rumor. AT&T already has a 3G infrastructure in place, and although it doesnt have complete 3g coverage, it does cover the majority of their wireless subscribers.

Let me see, should we release the newest phone to the 4th largest carrier with no 3G and spotty nationwide coverage or to #1 AT&T with ubiquitous nationwide coverage and a 3G network. Not a hard decision to make if I were RIM.

T-Mobile US launched a LOT of BB devices prior to AT&T. If I'm not mistaken, they were the first carrier to launch the 5000 series BlackBerry. The revolutionary changes in form factor with the 7100 and 8100 devices both came out on T-Mobile. T-Mobile US also launched practically all of the BB device families prior to the 7100/7290 launches before AT&T. With that said, starting with the 7290, AT&T really took focus on where BB was heading in America and started getting in on the launch devices while T-Mobile started taking a backseat, with the exception of the consumer devices. If T-Mobile US gives an inch on the 9100 device, then I think we can expect to see the end of an era.

Needless to say, the BlackBerry 9000, which is considered a business device in the track of 8700 and 8800/8820 product lines, will go to AT&T ...just like the 7290 and 8700 and 8800 and 8300 and 8820 and 8310. The one business/prosumer device that T-Mobile US has launched prior to AT&T was the 8320 ...and that's because it made absolute perfect sense for TMOUS with the UMA offering.

Also, launch carriers are not necessarily decided on who can give the most money. It's largely based on who can agree to sales guarantees of the most devices. A larger customer-base obviously helps with this sort of contractual obligation on the part of the carrier.
