Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry Curve 8900)

I don't believe that is possible with BIS email accounts unless you resend the emails to yourself again.

Other than forwarding those messages to yourself... no.

Forward the old emails to the new email account.

Generally no, old email is marked as delivered so the servers at RIM don't recognize it as mail to be sent to your new handheld.

What sometimes works for me is to delete the email on MobileMe via your Mac, but don't empty the trash. Mark it as "unread" and drag it back to your inbox. After a little while (15 minutes or less) the RIM email servers will sometimes see it as new mail. No guarantees as this is generally not how BlackBerrys are supposed to work. But I have fooled 'em and gotten old or deleted emails back onto my Tour.

I thought the only way to get email from a different carrier was to forward them. How would Rim see them on a different carrier and move them to the new carrier?
Maybe I'm missing something.

This is for emails sent to a MobileMe/.Mac account that's set up on a BlackBerry. It's carrier-agnostic as far as RIM is concerned. Once Apple upgraded from .Mac to MobileMe they started supporting the IMAP IDLE command and their email became instant push, not just to iPhones (as they intended) but so any device that did push email.
