well i now have 2 storms, i ordered online but for some reason a woman from vodafone rang me up and said it got lost so we have to do it again, i got my storm last week but the other day i got a email saying that it was on its way o_0 and today it turned up lol, so now i have 2 storms!!

the thing is the one im currently using has a faulty screen and does not click properly on the bottom left corner, so i thought i might just switch them, and if they ask for the extra storm bk (hoping they wont) i'll give em my old one (faulty one).

im not hot on all this stuff can they tell that i've switched it? with this mi number? or something like that? i'll give it 2 months and if they have'nt asked for it or billed me for it them i'll stick it on ebay.

what do u guys think i should do?

I think you know what you should do. Call them up and tell them you received both devices. I am surprised your first device works if they marked it as lost.

I think you should do the right thing and return one of them, and yes, they can tell which one you return. I doubt they would mind if you kept the one that is working better and returned the faulty one. It might be nice if you let them know it's faulty so some other person doesn't get your seconds....

And FYI - If you're looking for someone to support your criminal endeavors, you might wish to try a different forum. That's not how we roll here.

Well as you said, you know what you "should" do and you asked for our opinions. My opinion is you "should" do the correct thing.

Ok, so they made a mistake and sent you a second device trying to do the right thing and getting a device to you that you ordered. Don't you think you should try to do the right thing too?

What you end up doing is all on you. I try to think people these days have morals. I am a firm believer in karma. I wish you best in whatever choice you decide to make.

Well said jsconyers... I doubt further debate will sway the OP one way or the other. It sounds like he feels he's owed something...

not sure where u get that impression of me, i dont feel like im owed anything.
all i wanted to do for once, was try my luck, though judging by your responses i doubt i'll change your opinion of me.

will they be ok just swapping the hand set for this new one, i'v broken the seal on the box just to make sure it was a bb and not just some accessories pack. i'v read people having problems with their companies not recognising this as a fault, it is only one corner (bottom left) still works just doesn't 'click'.

This is where I got "that impression of you."

make the most of it = get something for nothing.

Again, if you notify the carrier you received two, but one is faulty, I see no reason why they wouldn't accept the faulty one back and call it a day.

Your best bet would be to contact them and let them know you received both devices. If one is faulty, I don't foresee any issues in them allowing you to keep the working one. If you never received the second device and the first one was faulty, and you called them about it, they would have most likely sent you a replacement as it is still under warranty.

I would imagine they would view this they same way.

This thread is no longer productive. You have the information you asked for. You have only to make your decision.

Listen to your heart.. and sell one on ebay!! You guys need to lighten up. Verizon is always trying to screw me over with extra charges that I shouldn't have, and if you don't call them up to rectify the problem you end up paying for it. So the way I see it unless they call you up with in the next month and ask if you received two phones it's yours. You guys talk about karma, but who says this isn't karma coming back on the phone company? After all the times they've screwed people over, I'm sure him keeping the phone is justified. End Rant

On a side note, No I am not bitter, Nobody owes me anything, and I love Verizon! Are you IN?

It's an open forum. If you can't deal with the consequences of being judged one way or the other for trying to pull a fast one on your wireless carrier (and no, I don't buy the "try your luck" business) then don't post at all.
