Default T-Mobile BB Data Plan

Please Login to Remove!

Just got my T-Mobile BB 9700.
Switched my data plan from Smartphone to BB.
Provisoned the 9700 and put my sim back to my HTC TP2 for testing.
Looks like my HTC TP2 works with the BB data plan.
I am able to send and receive E-mails and browse.
Anybody using a smartphone with BB data plan?

It will work fine, it is same thing. The only difference is BB Dataplan uses data services to hook you up to BB servers, that's what BB plan is doing. So it is actually data plan plus permission to connect to BB services.

Do I need to provison a new device once I have the BB data plan?
I used my sister's sim from her BB 8320 to the 9700 and it worked right away.

You can swap sims but then you won't get your BBMs or E-mails properly forwarded to the new device until you update from BIS control panel and resend svc books.

Do you have to pay more for the 3g data versus the EDGE plan?

That makes sense. She did not have her E-mail accounts setup properly after inserting her sim.
I am having problem with the GPS.
It can't get a lock (tried all day) thus no GPS.
The GPS is enabled under the Advanced settings.
Any suggestions?

Same price for me. For data plan, I don't think you could pick 3G or EDGE only.

Its One data plan.
There is no 3G data plan vs EDGE data plan.
