is there a way to set peak times for your email delivery to your phone

Not sure what you are asking, can you expound on your question?
Do you want to specify periods of time when your BB may receive email and times it may not?
No, that is not possible.

No, push email "pushes" email to the BlackBerry, rather than you telling it to go and get it. That is the whole concept behind RIM's success with the push technology.

However, you can use your Profiles so you are not notified of mail, and only phone calls, etc.

That's kind of the point of a Blackberry. You get your email instantly, or at least within 15 minutes of it's hitting the server if the account doesn't have push capabilities. You want your email not to come?! That's easy - try Windows Mobile :D

Yeah, you could also get an iPhone. It only checks your mail when you check your inbox.

There are a few strange ducks around. Same goes for getting a BB without a dataplan. Waste of a good all around business tool, IMHO.
