Default Unable to Sync

Please Login to Remove!

When I plugged in my Pearl to my PC with the data cord, I suddenly found that the Pearl would not sync with the Desktop Manager. It starts and gets up to "Processing Handheld Calendar," and I then get, "Unable to Complete Request." I am syncing with Outlook 2003, and thus have had no difficulty. When I left the office today, the Pearl was syncing okay with my PC. There I also use Outlook 2003. Any suggestions as to what's happening?

Default cannot sync the next day!

I have a similar problem:

Set up new pearl and mac OSX 10.3.9 (desktop) and 10.4.8(IBOOK) to sync... after a few tries it works.

Then do a few things on the desktop (add a contact, drop a contact, add a calendar event).

The next day it wont sync... although it initially sees the BB it hangs while trying to find the media card... even though I have ejected it.

Using "synclean" doesnt work either...

Any suggestions?

I just got my BB to sync and I think my solution this should work for you. My computer is a Dell PC, but I think this would also apply to Mac because I think the error is not in the computer but in the Blackberry Intellisync software on the disc that came with your BB. Uninstall both the desktop and handheld software located on your computer. Don't touch anything on your BB. Then, with the disc, reinstall the software. Be sure your BB is not connected to your computer when you do this. Now, connect the BB, but be sure that before it starts to sync, (and it will want to do this automatically) you configure the synchronization between your desktop software, in other words, with whatever you are using for calendar, address book, tasks, etc. I am using Outlook 2003. Be sure to uncheck all the boxes for the calendar, address book, etc. and then recheck it. Then try to sync the BB. It worked for me and hopefully it will work for you.

Hello I have almost the same problem, I get an "unable to process" error when I try to sync outlook 2003 calender with blackberry pearl. The log file says internal error #4088. I have 2,200 appointments mostly birthdays showing up. Please help. Is there a limit on the number of calendar appointments"? Any other advice? I have downloaded desktop manager 4.2 patch 1 also.

Thanks

Wayne
