When you say reboot, do you mean you removed the battery for 30 seconds?

yes. Thats the way a "specialist" told me was the way to reboot.
I did get it to work again. With an update I didn't need. But I did and now I have to start from scratch with my phone. (i thought it was weird because even when I did the 6.0 software update everything i had remained the same, but this time it didnt.) :(

Happened to me after updating the Email Setup application. Before it would let me use that app to verify my password for an account I already had set up it said I had to update this app. I updated and it never rebooted completely. I got the black screen with the progress bar across the bottom but when the bar reached the end it just stayed there and didn't continue the reboot process. I had to reload the OS with AppLoader (part of Desktop Manager) to restore my BlackBerry to working order. On the plus side, I took the opportunity to update my OS to the latest version and I'm happy with it.
