Default 9630 - Version 5.0.0.662

Please Login to Remove!

I am really happy with 5.0.0.643 but here is another leak. This is version 5.0.0.662 for the Blackberry Tour.

Alrighty, I will ask - any idea what changes there are from .643?

I'm good with the version I have, unless this version includes a taser.

Installing .662 now, rather than .643, because it had (Verizon) in the file name.
Will test and post an update later.

I installed this one. (Did not install .643.) Went from .591.

The main reason I upgraded was because I had found a couple of days ago that when I took photos with the camera, they did not show up in the directories until I did a battery re-boot. They were there as I could access them by going to email and trying to attach a file -- then I could see them but just going through pictures, I couldn't see them. This version appears to fix that as the photos are showing up immediately.

(Battery reboot is no fun on the Tour. Maybe it's just me but I cannot remove that darn thing without using something to pry it out.)

Obviously had to agree to most apps again, only problem I have so
far is, I can't find my hotmail icon.
Definitely fixed the browser click issue for me.
More later, as I continue to test!

Fixed, for some reason, some icons were hidden, as well as hidden icons
under Applications.
So far, very impressed, gained about 7 mbs, browser click working great,
also seems a tad faster when browsing.

What does it mean to have Verizon in the file name? Is that a bad thing?

Nope, it's just that Verizon is my carrier, so I decided to bite the
bullet and try .662. I think Cellular South released .643.

Linky: Quick Pull for 5.0

This version of Quick Pull works fine on my Tour and is a LOT easier than removing the batt every time.

I use Quick Pull, but the 3 finger salute works just fine also.

Not that it matters but I thought .643 and .662 were VZW and .624 was Cellular South (Official). Again, it really doesnt matter. I stuck with >643. Higher version is not always better

Think you are right about .624, checked my downloads and that one
came from Cellular South. Don't know how I missed .643, but I am
very happy with .662!

This kills VZW PTT! I tried using the PTT ALX & COD files from .591 but no joy.

OK, what do you prefer in .643 over .662? You've got me paranoid now.

And neither one will let me reassign A, Q or W on the speed dial keys :(

Yep, it's you... (of course I sometimes have trouble with the stupid battery cover, but I always get the battery out easily with a good smack of the hand)

LOL. I just had a brain fart -- the battery in my work Tour is easy to remove so maybe my battery is defective. I'll buy a new one and see if that fixes the problem. Should have thought to try that before. Sometimes, the simpliest solutions...................
