Default BES 4.1 (Beta) for Domino

Please Login to Remove!

I would like to find out if anyone is upgrading their test environment to this version as of yet? I am currently in the middle of the process and it is much easier interface but the sql db upgrade takes a very long time.

Hit me up if anyone is doing the same...

Did you add your BES server as a trusted server in the Sametime config db?

How can you get BES 4.1 to beta. I am using BES 4.0 waiting for BES 4.1. Is the beta version available to anyone?

I think you need to be a RIM partner or major customer.

Beta phase 2 commenced a couple of months ago, so it may be too late.

I'd recommend you contact your RIM account representative to inquire about BES 4.1 beta, but I wouldn't get your hopes up...and they have been asking for quite a lot of feedback, so it's a proper beta program...

I am one of their major customers and did not know about 4.1 beta. Will inquire this week. Might not be worth the hassle with the feedback even though I to speak with them several times a week.

RonN - I notice that you have "OneBridge Admin" in your signature. How is "OneBridge"? I have been considering testing it?

we have been working with rim since their launch a few years ago and have established a relationship with a few people at rim and our vendors. Maybe you should speak to your corp rep's because they arent giving you the most upto date info.

I am running OneBridge 4.2.1 and it allows synchronization of email, calendar, ToDo and personal address book. Replication is set for every 15 minutes. Older versions of the software had lots of problems but most of them were resolved in release 4.x. The new 5.x version is out and is stated to resolve a few issues ppl could run into and they also added a good number of useful features.

The server is rather simple to maintain once configured. If something goes wrong you generally check the size of the log file to see if it is too large and restart the OneBridge service which is a one click button built into the software. Running with a Windows platform, on average I do not have to touch it once a week and there are 1800 users on the server.
