I don't see the confirmation.

I do remember seeing an option somewhere on one of my BBs to turn on sms delivery confirmations. I cannot find a setting on the OS to turn confirmations on/off. I looked in phone settings, sms settings under options, etc.

you can test it by sending yourself a text message and see what comes up next to the original sent message.

I loaded the OS and have been using it now for 3 hours.
Great built however one of my main radio stations on Nobex Radio stopped working. Don't know what that has to do with an OS update. Hopefully it's just a coincidence and will be up and running soon cause i love my NewsTalk am 1010, lol

As for the sms issue rdef, the delivery reports are back on. So thanx for looking it up for me. Much appreciated. The reason it may not be working for u is because delivery reports are provider specific both in how they work and whether they work at all. Fido (up here in canada) for example remotely turns them off, however i figured out a way to turn them back on via a foreign sim card. (ie. i put my "orange" sim card from europe into my BB and the on/off option inside the sms settings appears! i put back my "fido" sim card and the option vanishes. I managed to run it "on" while the option was visible and the reports continue working even though the option is gone.)

This Beta was an absolute nightmare for me. I just got a Bold last weekend after owning a 8830 for years and having done the Beta thing MANY times before this (remember how long it took the 8830 to get an official version of 4.5?). Anyhow, the upgrade went off without a hitch, but first time I tried to do a sync, I got the dreaded Intellisync "failed to connect to the device" error (lots of posts about it on the site and it's not an easy error to correct).

It took me until the wee hours of the morning to solve the problem. The 5.0 Bold was tested on 5 different PCs running Win7 and XP and the same error on all of them. Ended up having to wipe my Bold and reinstall 4.6 and even then the error would still creep in because remnants of 5.0 stuck around DM 5.01. Got my Bold working again on a PC in which 5.0 never touched, at least at the DM level.

I'm going to wait until they've got the bugs out of 5.0 for the Bold. Seems like they've still got a ways to go despite what "people in the know" seem to keep saying. ;)

I saw a few improvements in the OS and it seemed to speed things up, but 4.6 still works nicely vis a vis 4.5 on my 8830. I'll stick with that until 5.0 is out of Beta and let you guinea pigs do the testing. :D

Wiped device. Reformated internal memory. Still the same thing. If you live in EDGE country then don't waste your time with this one

May I ask how you performed the browser fix? Is there a link you can point me at? This will be my first attempt at a V5 install.

Upgraded today without wiping. Super smooth. It restores all my settings and apps without problems. The fastest 5.0 leak that I've ever tried. I don't have the browser issue, but I have the camera greyed buttons issue. No reboots or funny things at all.

Not true for me at all. Been running for 24 hours. Not one reboot. Solid as a rock. In EDGE mode only all day. Drove all over Southern California with it.

Not a single prob. Very good batter life too.

On BB:

After upgraded to 411, after restore of SMS database all the sms got combined into a since thread. I had to remove all my old sms history

When sending the sms it goes to the wrong contact!

Which sms cod's from earlier version need to be restored?

The rebooting issue is gone.

Thanks

I did an u 314 upgrade instead of clean wipe.

9700vvm files would not work for me. I tried multiple times and would always get a net.rim.device.api.i18n.Missing error on reboot.

I installed 238 vvm files and I'm up and running 100% smooth.

Actually, he was asking if there were any issues specific to At&t. The issues that you are describing are present no matter what carrier you are on.
