hi i had a problem with my blackberry so i needed to reset. i did a backup file where is my phone book and now i cant even open it is a .ipd file i tried the desktop manager but it does not work. what can i do help me please.

Welcome to BB Forums.

Use the Desktop Manager Backup/Restore function to open the ipd file.
You should be prompted to it when you click on Restore. If not, there was an error writing the file.

there is 3 buttons restore backup and advanced. only advanced is highlighted, if i go in it i can open the file but cant do anything its all shaded. how can i solve this ?

Is your BB connected to your PC? All three buttons are highlighted for me.

Please make sure you had connect you BlackBerry to PC.
