Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I get this wierd message when sending an Email, and I don't know what to do. Has anyone seen this before. Its keeping me from sending emails.

This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry Handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server.

The email was sent by [email address]

and the subject field says RIM_bca28a80-e9c0-11d1-87fe-00600811c6a2

Can anyone help?

Default Not necessarily

In my experience with BBs, that message means that you have told the Desktop manager software you want to use redirector for your email service instead of the Blackberry Webclient. if you turn redirector on and don't use it everytime you send an email or receive one this network message is sent. If you read the msg it should say something like "this msg is used to carry data between the server and client." To see if you are using the web client go to Options > Servicebook. here you will see all service books on teh blackberry. If you see "webclient [CMIME]" it would indicate you are using the BWC.

Anyways check your service books, if you have "Desktop [CMIME]" and "Desktop [CICAL]." This would indicate that you have configured the Desktop manager software on your PC to use the the desktop redirector for email service. Delete these "Desktop" service books, this will stop the problem. Now to completely stop the problem you will have insert the CD that came with your blackberry, it has the desktop manager software on it. When the install shield wizard starts running it will ask you to uninstall or or modify the software, select modify. After selecting modify it should ask you something about email service, here tell it you are using the Blackberry Web Client or Blackberry Internet Email, they are both the same. then finish the reisntallation/modification.
