Reminds me of my wife's Kindle Fire case. Needs something to hold the cover closed, though, when you're not using the phone.

The Playbook case is the same, to access any of the ports the case needs to be opened. It isn't good.

Does the opening flap on the Z10 Flip Shell case lie flat with the back to avoid obstruction when using the phone?

Is there a video showing this?

No it doesn't
I find it uncomfortable to hold when opened.
