Default Which is current v5 stable OS for UMA?

Please Login to Remove!

I have tested it on various different routers, Dlink, Netgear and Linksys. T-Mobilexxx8217;s v4.6.1.114 and v4.6.1.231 remain rock solid for me.

I like OS 5 but whenever I flash one I have to roll back next day as my UMA starts to give me problems. It either starts switching back and forth from UMA to Edge or gives a distorted sound quality. I have tried OS v5.0.0.681 and v5.0.0.822 as well on my 8900.

I would like your inputs on various OSs and if you have been able to talk continuously for an hour on any version of OS 5 with clear call quality.

Thanks in advance.

I hope u get an answer on this one. I have the same issue and another 8900 user mentioned the same thing to me a couple of weeks ago. I've tried everything but with little success. I love 5.0 and am so used to it now that rolling back for good UMA service is almost a punishment. Interestingly, my husband is using my old 8320 with the Tmo OS and has perfect coverage on uma.

I live in a basement residence without UMA I would never be able to make calls with tmobile's shotty service I get one bar to none without the help of UMA.

At first when I upgraded to 8900/v5.0.0.822 I was getting a lot of echoing and delayed speech, dont know if this will fix the issue for you but I ended up deleting my wi-fi that I had saved and reset my router and set my phone to "Enable single profile scanning" in the Wi-Fi Options menu and havent had a problem in days and ive talked over 2hrs with it on one call.

UMA works for me with 5.0.0.681 from Vodafone UK but I heard T-Mobile will roll out 5.0 next week for the 8900 & 8520.

Same issue for me, UMA went bad on upgrading to 5.0 (running 822 now but none of the prior versions worked as well as the official T-Mobile 4 releases). Hopefully if TMO pushes out 5 it will help (I like UMA, not critical but very nice to have when working well).
