I have a blackberry and it has a feather slim case from incipio:

First one I received peeled and flaked really easily after 1 week! asked them for a replacement and its doing it again, after 1 weeks usage.

My wife has an iphone with their same feather case, she's had that for 1 year and no one flake or peeling mark on it and she chucks it around in her purse!

Incipio's response hasn't been very communicative so far:

Thank you for the email and picture. I have not heard of any problems with the production and or quality of the feather cases for the BlackBerry. The picture of the case you have attached appears to be in modest condition and has a slight scratch on it. This can occur from normal wear and tear and does not appear to be faulty or problematic. As noted previously if you would a replacement case of the same or different color we would be happy to send you one.

If you google this issue, there appears to be others out there.


Strange why the version for blackberry peels and the others for iphones don't?

Is there an alternative manufacturer that makes such a case which is slim like this?

Hey there. I had an Incipio feather for my blackberry and it did the same crap. Now I have an iphone and bought 5 different colors and yes they peel as well, bought a blue and red one that began peeling the day after. BLOWS!

weird, they must have changed manufacturer then? nobody else out there doing a thin skin? surely they must know this is an issue?

I switched to this one: Case-Mate BlackBerry Bold 9700 Barely There Cases (Case-Mate BB9700BT), BlackBerry Bold Cases, Holsters, Skins, and Accessories in Premium Leather - Model 9700

And it's easier to remove than the Incipio feather for battery pulls. It's thin too.
