Smile What internet allowage should i get?

Please Login to Remove!

I am about to get a blackberry contract. There is one i am looking at which gives 300 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited blackberry for £25 a month. Does unlimited blackberry mean unlimited internet and blackberry messenger etc??
Also, another contract i have looked at gives 500mb of internet. At the moment i have unlimited internet and all i go on is facebook, usually everyday, for no more than 2 hours each day, will i use 500mb by doing this?

I recommend you talk to customer service for your service provider and have it spelled out for you so there is no confusion. But typically unlimited blackberry data is either really unlimited or practically unlimited with some "fair use" soft cap. But tethering (look it up) may be separately priced. I would think 500mb a month would be more than enough for ordinary use, but I'd worry if you want to do a lot of media streaming.

Blackberrys are very data efficient. But apps that hit the network frequently, as well as audio and video streaming and mapping apps can go through a lot of data.

Whatever you get, make sure it is the "Blackberry" data plan.

Both suggestions above are very sound advice. Also, If you are able to switch plans when ever you want, you could get the unlimited for a month and at the end of that month review your usage and adjust your plan accordingly. But verify with your carrier first.

yes, unlimited blackberry means access to everything data related on a blackberry.
With the 500MB internet, it won't allow you to access the internet.
You NEED the blackberry data plan.

Also, no you won't use 500MB; blackberry compresses data like no other smartphone.
