I looked around on the Download pages for the device simulator soft for the 8120 but couldn't find one...

I would like to do some custom themes..

Do I need the specific one for that device? or can I use any of the 8100 DS's?

You have to use the one specific to your device and software version, i have a curve 8320 OS 4.5 and i found the simulator for curve but for OS 4.2 and it didnt work for me.

You can use any of the 81xx series simulators. Just make sure the simulator has the target OS you are looking for.

For the older Plazmic yes.
If you have new Plazmic 4.5 there is no simulator available.
Although, the workaround the issue is to export themes to lower OS and sort of test it out.
So far I found that to be working well.

Thanks! I'll look into it. I have some ideas for themes but wanted to make sure I used the right sim.

Yes you can use any 81xx to test your theme.
